Ally is a current member of the Boston Crusaders Colorguard as well as Juxtaposition Winterguard. She assists in developing beginner skills in movement and all equipment, as well as specializing in intermediate and advanced weapon technique and skills. She strives to ensure that students are able to recognize their strengths, become the most confident version of themselves, and overcome barriers within the colorguard activity.

Ben Belcher is a Santa Clara Vanguard alum and former featured visual soloist and section leader who is currently studying Music Education at Texas State University. Offering both Music and Movement lessons, he combines music and dance fundamentals to develop body awareness, performance quality, and expression through movement and sound.

Hello, I’m Emma Ball! I marched with the Boston Crusaders from 2023–2026, serving as the Color Guard Captain for my age-out season in 2026. I also marched Origins World in 2024 and 2026, serving as captain in 2026, as well as Mirage in 2025. I specialize in weapon, but I love flag and dance as well. I want my lessons to be a positive and encouraging space where students can build confidence, improve their fundamental skills, and learn new tricks!

Emma Shiffer is a 2 year veteran of Spirit of Atlanta and The Pride of the Southland. Her marching art experience has taught her how to build healthy leadership cultures and personal habits. She focuses on leadership development, elevating your conducting skills, and navigating the transition from high school to college/professional marching roles.

Jared Geer served as one of the Drum Majors for the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps during their 2022 World Championship production, Tempus Blue. He now leads as the Executive Director of Silent Command, where he brings his passion for teaching fundamental techniques, expressive performance, and understand various team dynamics to help students excel in any role they pursue.

Jonathan is a conductor at the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, and attends the University of Texas at Austin! Jonathan is passionate about teaching conducting fundamentals, clarity, and expressive conducting!

Jonathan strives to encourage people to pursue their dreams in the marching arts, whether that is with their high school, college, or auditioning for drum corps!

Maddie the current drum major of the Boston Crusaders, where she previously served as rehearsal assistant. She specializes in personalized leadership growth, conducting technique and clarity, and drum major team functionality. She is passionate about building confidence in young leaders and helping channel unique strengths and qualities into effective leadership.

Madelyn currently serves as drum major for the Blue Devils. Her personalized coaching focuses on instilling student confidence by building technical clarity, consistency, full-body expression, and ensemble control. Additionally, Madelyn teaches practical rehearsal organization, incorporating technology and electronics that optimize rehearsal flow. She is passionate about establishing clear leadership dynamics that foster effective, seamless communication between student leaders, staff, and ensemble members.

Makenna has held numerous conducting and leadership roles since 2025 as a Drum Major for Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps, Conductor for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, and Drum Major for the Florida State University Marching Chiefs. She specializes in leadership, conducting fundamentals, field timing, and baton conducting.

Makenna is also a current Music Education major at Florida State University and is passionate about teaching and helping others grow as musicians and leaders.

Mark performed with Carolina Crown on Euphonium in ’23, and DM in ’24-’25. He is currently studying Music Education in Cincinnati and is the Music Director of the UC Medical Symphony Orchestra.

Lessons are based on the student’s goals and needs. Commonly, lessons focus on aural skills, score study, pattern clarity, and setting culture from the podium.

I am passionate about teaching team dynamics, leading large groups, and balancing clarity with expression in conducting. I also have a special passion for helping young women get started in their music education and leadership journeys!

Hi, I’m Olivia! I am going into my third season with the Bluecoats, and am serving as the trumpet section leader. I also marched with the Cadets in 2023. With me, you will have opportunities to learn in the areas of high brass and visual/movement. For both of these captions I will offer specializations in technique, fundamentals, pedagogy and performance. I am looking forward to working with you and helping you elevate your skills to the next level!

Hey there! My name is Peyton Brillhart, and I am a proud Silent Command lessons instructor, as well as one of the Drum Majors for Spirit of Atlanta! I am passionate about furthering my own ideologies of being a drum major, helping with conducting fundamentals, as well as educating how to be kind to your mind when in the marching arts scene.

Carolina Crown drum major. I want to help people to be apart of something bigger than themselves. No matter the background. We have a shared goal and that is deliver life changing music. Developing excellence, passion, and leadership in those who are inspired.

Simon is the current Drum Major of the Troopers and is going into his fourth year.

Leadership/Conducting/Interview Process

Victor Ducea is a Drum Major for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, a clarinet performance student studying at Oberlin Conservatory, and a former Silent Command student. He specializes in conducting expression, conducting fundamentals, and developing presence on the podium while leading with empathy. As a clarinetist, Vic specializes in soprano, bass, and auxiliary clarinets, with a focus on developing well-rounded musicians.

Wes is a former Silent Command student who is currently a drum major at the Boston Crusaders. He was previously a drum major for the Cadets in 2022. He is very passionate about expressing music through conducting and successful leadership.

Yash Mahadkar is a 3rd-year Drum Major for the Santa Clara Vanguard, currently studying music education at the University of Georgia. He offers lessons for high school, college, and drum corps, focusing on conducting fundamentals, intentionality and expression, rehearsal technique, and leadership development.
