Silent Command is excited to be partnering with Jackson State University’s Sonic Boom of the South on Friday May 29th - Sunday May 31st to host a first-of-its-kind HBCU marching band conference for students and educators across the nation.

  • The conference is open to marching band students, educators, and media personnel from HBCU programs nationwide. Participants of all experience levels are welcome.

  • Sessions will be led by a combination of Jackson State University’s renowned Sonic Boom of the South staff and alumni, Silent Command Leadership, and other world renowned professionals in the marching arts field.

  • Housing is not included with registration, and participants are responsible for arranging their own lodging. A meal plan will be available for purchase, which includes meals throughout the weekend.

  • Yes. Individuals and groups may register directly using the sign-up link above. If payment needs to be processed through a booster organization, school, or district office, please email info@silentcommand.org with your registration details to request an invoice.

  • The registration deadline is March 1st. Space is limited, and early registration is strongly encouraged.
